Martha "Marti" Crump

Martha "Marti" Virginia Crump, 76, of Point Pleasant, WV, peacefully passed away on November 5, 2023, in Ripley, WV. She was born on December 6, 1946, in Point Pleasant, WV. Martha was a beloved sister, survived by Mary Saunders, Becky Kennedy, Deborah Herbig, Norma Smith, Annabelle Fritts, Regina Cox, Dolly Watson, and Randy Crump. Martha leaves behind three children, Robert Baird, Lee Baird, and Terri Baird, several grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Isaiah Crump Sr., her mother Bessie (Pearson) Crump, her sisters Ruth Hand, Margaret Crump, and Frances Hosmer, and her brothers David Crump, James Crump, Charles Timothy Crump, Robert "Bobbie" Crump, Isaiah Crump Jr., and Franklin Crump.

Later in life, Martha became a member of the Gallipolis Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served in Primary and would give to others even when she had so little.

Martha, known for her feisty nature and love for herbal remedies and gardening, will be remembered fondly by her family and friends. A celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 19th at the church.
