Shannon V. Saffer

Shannon Saffer, 29, passed away January 5, 2016 at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, WV. He was born October 7, 1986 and lived most of his life in Pocahontas County where he was happiest spending time with friends and music in the mountains he loved. He has struggled with many health issues since he was in a debilitating car accident 10 years ago. He was currently living in Ravenswood, WV. He is survived by his mother, Dede Parsons Saffer of Ripley, WV and Hillsboro, WV and his father, Martin V. Saffer of Hillsboro, WV. He is also survived by two brothers, Charles Saffer and family of Charleston, WV and Patrick Saffer currently of Ripley, WV; uncles, Greg Parsons and family of Ripley, WV and Patrick Parsons and family of Charleston, WV. Shannon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Betty Parsons of Ripley, WV and Charles and Elizabeth Saffer of Levittown, PA. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
