Allen Barnette, 57, of Ripley, passed away Monday, Septeber 8, 2014 at Jackson General Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born March 11, 1957 in Kanawha County, son of Delores Lester Barnette and the late Luther Clayton Barnette. He was a graduate of Dunbar High School and a professional truck driver employed by Fed-Ex prior to becoming disabled. Surviving: His wife of 37 years, Libby Gibson Barnette; Mother, Delores Lester Barnette; Sons, Matt Barnette (Rhonda) of Ripley and Michael Barnette, also of Ripley; Daughter, Missy Hatcher (Scott), of Ripley; Grandchildren, Hailey, Chloe and Hunter Barnette and Brittney, Olivia, Brooke, Erica and Eli Hatcher; Sisters, Terry Cottrill (Jeff), Peggy Smith (Landy) Diane Ingraham (Ralph), Mindy Casto and Jamie Jeffries (Jason). A service celebrating the life of Allen Barnette will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Waybright Funeral Home beginning at noon with Pastor Todd King officiating.
