Anna "Ann" Lou Sayre, 74, of Ripley went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. She died following a long fought battle with cancer. She was born on April 7, 1942, daughter of the late James and Mildred Hall. She was a lifelong homemaker and member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Ann loved her family and the outdoors. She was an active member of 4-H where she was a leader. She also loved being involved with the horse barn at the Jackson County Jr. Fair where she served as a chairman and board member. Surviving are her husband, Orville Sayre of 54 years of Ripley; children Lori Schuller (George) of Brisbane, Australia, Tammy Banks (Sean) of Ripley, and James Sayre (financee Betsy) of Kenna; grandchildren Ian (Alex) Banks of Ripley, Trae Schuller of Scottsdale, AZ, Callan Banks of Ripley, and future grandchildren Hunter, Mason, and Aubrey Stephens of Kenna. Ann was preceded in death by her parents James Hall on August 13, 2010 and Mildred on January 21, 2012. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hospice nurses Melody Bumgarnder, Sherry Stoffel, and Jenny Ford and to Ann's wonderful caregivers Crystal Thompson, Doris Herdman, and Carol Winland. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 24th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with the Pastor David Fields and Rev. Charles Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Given. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to noon on Saturday, September 24th at the funeral home.
