Anna Mae Ramsey

November 22, 1942 — March 20, 2018

Anna Mae Ramsey, 75 of Ripley, passed away March 20, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, following a brief illness. She was born November 22, 1942 at Sandyville, a daughter of the late Denny Alva and Mary Richard Myers. She was a custodian for Jackson County Schools for 40 years, most of that time at Gilmore Elementary School and a short time at Ripley Middle School. Her life was filled with her family and her work as she loved taking care of everyone. She is survived by sons Loyde (Belinda) Ramsey and Donald Ramsey; daughters Thelma (Mike) Stickler and Mary Ramsey (Chuck); grandchildren Joshua Ramsey, Sheila Shutt, Andrea Mitchell Amy Hitt and Jimmy Knight and great grandchildren Rosalee Ramsey, Kepler Shutt, Evan Knight and Austin Hitt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Ramsey. Funeral Service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Rev. Herman Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Morgan-Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
