Arnold C. Rhodes, 77 of Leroy, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 21, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta, OH with his family by his side He was born December 20, 1940 in Ryan, WV, a son of the late Lonnie Burton and Orlie Mae Cox Rhodes. He was a graduate of Walton High School and was later drafted into the United States Army. He retired from DuPont after 32 years of employment. Arnold enjoyed Racing, hunting, farming and Woodworking for Rod Reynolds at Mill Creek Trading Post. His greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Paulette Parrish Rhodes; his son Donnie A. Rhodes and his wife Mary of Ravenswood; his daughter Becky A. Walker and husband Shawn of Liberty; his grandkids, Cody Walker (Chelsea) of Kenna, Whitney Fulk (Ryan) of Sandyville, Cassie Milam (Spudd) of Evans, Colton Rhodes of Ravenswood; great grandkids, Hadleigh, Alayna and Stella; brothers Ronnie Rhodes (Jan) of Parsons, KS, Roger Rhodes (Sue) of Niles, MI; sisters Garnet Kee of Dunbar and Lou Delay of Parkersburg and sister's-in-law Kate Rhodes and Beulah Rhodes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Garland, Robert, Gerald and Darrel Rhodes; sisters Frances Norman, Clarsie Sawyer and Kathryn Rhodes. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Sunday, November 25, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Pastor Dee Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Hughes-Hunt Cemetery, Vicars Ridge, Roane County. Friends may call from 11 am to 1 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Following the committal service at the cemetery, the family will be receiving relatives and friends at the Liberty Lions Club located on Rt. 34 in Liberty.
