Arnold Williams Arnold Odell Williams, 93, of Eldercare of Ripley, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley following an extended illness. He was born in Jackson County on April 30, 1920, son of the late Elijah J. and Ethel Wandling Williams. He was a graduate of Ripley High School, an Army veteran of WW II and long time member of the Grasslick Baptist Church. He was a dairy farmer and union carpenter and was well known in recent years as a delivery driver for Dave's Auto Parts in Ripley. Surviving: Sons, David Williams (Kathleen) of Sandyville and Nile Williams (Gail) of Herndon, VA; Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Arnold was preceded in death by three wives, Velma Williams, Opal Curry Williams and Grace Anderson Williams, brother Ottmer Williams and sisters Mildred Scott and Maysel Williams. A celebration of Arnold's life will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Grasslick Baptist Church, Kenna, with Pastor Jim Compton officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley Sunday evening from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.
