Aulene Harpold

Aulene Johnson Harpold 91 of Kenna passed away January 7, 2014 at Eldercare of Ripley following a short illness. She was born December 7, 1922 at Jackson County a daughter of the late William H. and Naomi Simmons Johnson. She was a draftsman during the war for Carnagie Steel and afterwards worked at Simmons Supermarket. She loved read and at the time of her death was the oldest member of the Grasslick Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James B. Harpold. She is survived by her niece and husband Naomi and Grant Donohew and a nephew and his wife Henry and Linda Winter. Also survived by numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be 3 pm Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Charlie Bolen officiating. Burial will be in the Grasslick Baptist Church Cemetery, Kenna. Friends may call two hours prior to the service (1 to 3 pm).
