Ava Marie Phillips

Ava Marie Phillips, 42, of Sissonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 21st.

She was born June 27, 1980 to Charlie and Deborah Reed. She is proceeded in death by grandparents Atwood and Blanche Reed, Ralph and Eva Harrison, her mother Deborah Reed and nephew Josh Ashby.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years Wayne Phillips, son Dalton Phillips, daughter Josie Phillips, father Charlie Reed, brother Scottie Reed and his wife Bonnie, nephew Alex Reed and his wife Amanda, niece Kathrine Ashby, nephews Justin and Cody Phillips, great nieces and nephews Travis, Gracie, Chris Ashby and Karsyn Reed.

Ava was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend, and meant so much to so many. She will be greatly missed.

A funeral service to celebrate Ava’s life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 27th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Carl Casto officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Atwood Reed Cemetery on 2nd Creek Road in Sissonville. Following the burial the family would like to invite everyone to a meal at the Derrick’s Creek Community Church.
