Avrile C. Fields

Avrile C. Fields, 64 of Gay passed away April 26, 2015 surrounded by his family at his bedside at Charleston Memorial Hospital. He was born April 29, 1950 at Gay, a son of the late Homer and Nellia Price Fields. He worked construction most of his life and was a farmer. He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing and being with his family. He was a Christian and member of the Vista Church. He was a loving husband, father and brother and his family and friends will miss him greatly. He is survived by his loving wife Catherine Crihfield Fields; daughter Becky Fields of Gay; brothers Ralph and Darlena Fields of Harmony and Clair and Peggy Fields of Gay; sisters Delphia and John Crihfield of Harmony, Gertha Casto of Gay, Mazil and John White of Gay, Wanda and Johnny Jones of Kenna and Ozellia and Randy Critchfield of Gay. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Delbert Fields; sister Reva Shamblin and three nephews, Adam Shamblin, Mark Shamblin and Carolus Crihfield. Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the Mt. Carmel Church (Rocky Knob), Statts Mill with Pastor Aaron Melhorn officiating. Burial will be in the Tolley Cemetery, Gay. Friends may call on the family from 11 am until the time of the service on Thursday at the Church. Pallbearer will be Derek Shamblin, Bruce Shamblin, Jake Fields, John Smith, Jamie Fields and Charles Harper.
