Barbara Ann Hemby

Barbara Ann (Hickman) Hemby, 82 of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Millwood, West Virginia She was born November 28, 1935 in Ripley, a daughter of the late Charles Hickman and Edith (Lattimer) Hickman of Millwood, West Virginia. She graduated from Ripley High School and attended Capitol City Beauty College, Charleston, West Virginia. Barb was a former member of Eastern Star and Daughters of the American Revolution. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters; Terri Wilson of Richmond, Virginia, and Brenda Carpenter of Spencer, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mitchell Hemby of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Daughter Pamela (Tolley) Burgoyne and husband Donald of Atlanta, Georgia; her Grandchildren Nicholas Burgoyne of Atlanta, Georgia and Sarah Burgoyne of Chicago, Illinois; sister Gerri Powers and husband Jim of Ripley, West Virginia and her beloved dog Chloe. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Charles Hicks officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Roane County.
