Barbara Kay Skeen

Barbara Kay Skeen, 64 of Evans, passed away June 19, 2023 at Charleston Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 13, 1959 in Gay, WV, daughter of the late Glen and Genevieve Jones Chancey. Barbara was a homemaker and caregiver and was very compassionate to everyone and her dogs and cats. In her younger years she liked to fish, swim and sun bathe. She enjoyed doing home improvement projects and painting and working in her flowers.

She is survived by a son, Bradford Southall; husband, Charles Skeen; sister Ruth Ann Marks and brother-in-law Clarence Crihfield; best friend, Gena Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Sue Crihfield.

In honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and no public service is scheduled at this time.
