Beatrice Jones

Beatrice Jones 88 of Ripley passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Caring Place in Ripley following a long illness. She was born April 20, 1925 in Jackson County a daughter of the late Elswith "Dink" and Pearl Hatcher Thomas. She is the last survivor of her immediate family. She was a school teacher in Jackson and Roane County for 28 years. She taught Sunday School at Aplin Church and Shady Dale Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Russell Jones; brothers Ivan, John "Erston", George and Samuel Thomas and her sisters Idress Westfall and Irene Kelly. She is survived by her daughter Cleta Walker and her husband Ron of Ripley and a special neice Barbara Casto of Ripley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday November 21, 2013 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Friends may call from 11 am until time of service on Thursday.
