Bernice "Jack" Vealey

June 26, 1919 — April 28, 2018

Bernice “Jack” Vealey , 98 of Kenna, went to be with the Lord on April 28, 2018. Jack was born June 26, 1919, son of the late Isom and Erma “B” Vealey of Charleston. Jack held many positions throughout the years, working as a store owner for several years in St. Albans, worked as a Foreman with FMC and Kaiser Engineers and went on to retire from the State of West Virginia. Jack was a decorated Veteran serving in the European Theatre during World War II and was a member of Grasslick Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, brothers Charles, Baron, Sherman and sister Ina; Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Jean Vealey and daughter Carolyn Patrick. Jack is survived by two sons, Carl Butch Vealey and fiancée Lynn Nelson, Jeffrey Vealey and his wife Stephani; grandchildren Carly, Christina, Dack Patrick, III, and Chelsea Davis; great grandchildren Bradley, Lexi and Ella. A special memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Grasslick Baptist Church, Kenna with Pastor Jimmie Compton officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Grasslick Baptist Church.
