Bessie "Opal" Burnem

Bessie Opal Burnem Bessie Opal Burnem, 81, of Sandyville, passed away at home surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 12, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Fay Burnem, her sister, Pauline Fisher, and her son, Ronald Lee Burnem. Left to pass down her memories are sons, Charlie Avis Burnem of Sandyville, Bobby Dale Burnem of Ravenswood, and Carl Ray Burnem of Sandyville, and daughters, Goldie Ann Starcher of Sandyville, Kathy Elaine Greathouse of Portland OH, and Barbara Jean Reel of Reedsville OH. Her lineage lives on in 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, all of whom she dearly treasured. Opal will be remembered fondly at a service to be held on Saturday, February 16, at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley, WV. Friends may gather with the family two hours prior to the 1pm service.
