Betty Ann Abshire

Betty Ann (Holt) Abshire 79 of Ripley passed away October 8, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born September 10, 1935 at Lang, WV, a daughter of the late Thomas and Nanny White Holt. She is survived by her husband of 65 years James C. Abshire; son Jim Abshire and wife Beth; daughters Karen Anderson and husband Ronnie and Teresa Miller and husband Joseph; sisters Ruby Colloson and Annetta Jones. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Vici Payne and four brothers and seven sisters. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Minister Doug Petty officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley.
