Betty Ann Burgess

Betty Ann Burgess, 68, of Ripley passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 following an extended illness. She was born September 20, 1952 in Jackson County a daughter of the late Guy and Gladys Lanham Wright. Betty love animals and operated her own grooming business, Betty’s Pampered Pets, with her husband James. She also enjoyed cooking and going fishing. She is survived by her children April Mellinger (Ross) and James Burgess Jr. (Amanda); grandchildren Peyton Mellinger, Katie Mellinger and Logan Mellinger Jade Burgess, Kodi Burgess, Levi Burgess and David Burgess; sisters Helen Westfall and Debbie Knuckles. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband James Lee Burgess Sr. in 2010. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021 at the Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
