Betty Triesler Chandler

Betty Triesler Chandler, 88 of Ripley, WV passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012 at her home following a long illness. She was born June 14, 1924 at Hagerstown, MD a daughter of the late A.W. "Duke'" and Pauline Sites Triesler. She was a graduate of Eastern High School in Washington, D.C. where she was a member of the Phi Pi Epsilon Sorority. Betty was a retired secretary, a founding member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Kensington, MD, a member of the Congressional Country Club at Bethesda, MD and lived most of her life in Maryland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years Robert P. Chandler Sr. whom passed away in 2008, a son Christopher Chandler, sisters Bonnie Finn and June Monica and a brother George Triesler. She is survived by a son Robert P. "Bob" Chandler Jr. and his wife Cathy of Statts Mill, WV; granddaughter Carey Harlan and her daughter Briauna and grandsons Timothy Chandler and Jesse Chandler. In honoring her wishes she will be cremated and there will be no service. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, WV is serving the family.
