Betty Ocheltree Hobbs

Betty Lue Ocheltree Hobbs, 80, of Charleston, passed away on August 12, 2012 at Meadowbrook Acres Nursing Facility following an extended illness. She was born on October 10, 1931 at Braxton County, WV, daughter of the late Hurley and Muriel Morrison Ocheltree. She was a lifelong homemaker and faithful member of the Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by husband, Robert Hobbs, brother, Harry Ocheltree, sister, Lillian Ocheltree and sister, Ruby Casto. Surviving: Brothers, Sterling Ocheltree (Doris), Jackie Ocheltreet (Anna) and Archie Ocheltree (Mary); Sisters, Kathleen Pence of Dunbar and Colleen Pence of Elyria, Ohio. Betty also leaves a special niece, Karen Waugh, a dedicated and loving caregiver, Sherri Oxley and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 15 at 2 p.m. at the mausoleum chapel at Jackson Memory Gardens, Cottageville, with John Gunther officiating. Interment will follow the service. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley.
