Betty Lou Toney Taylor

Mrs Betty Lou Toney Taylor, 85, of Kernersville, North Carolina, formerly of Ripley, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 following a brief illness. She was born in Bloomingrose, WV, on November 27, 1927, to the late Poindexter and Rosa Petry Toney. She graduated from Sherman High School in Seth. She married on May 28, 1950 and recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Betty was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and served alongside her husband during 52 years of ministry in North Carolina, Kentucky and West Virginia. Surviving: Husband Ralph R. Taylor of North Carolina; Sons, Ralph Lee, Larry, Stephen and their respective wives; Seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; One sister, Grace. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law and a grandchild. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, is serving the Taylor family.
