Rev. Beverly Jordan Rev. Beverly J. Jordan, 74, of Crab Orchard WV, formerly of Jackson County, passed away Monday morning, July 30, 2012 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following an extended illness. She was born September 5, 1937 at Apple Farm, WV, daughter of the late William A. and Eda Wilson Stalnaker. Beverly was a college graduate, a member of the Calvary Assembly Church and was a retired minister with the Pentacostal Church. Surviving: Sons, William Campbell of Evans and John K. Jordan of Crab Orchard; Daughters, Yonna Hooker of Parkersburg, Charlotte Jordan of Hawaii, Rebecca Sargent of Harrisonburg, VA and Susan Dewees of Ripley, whom she termed as her "special daughter; Step-daughters, Gail Rectenwald of Sandyville and Sandra Hamilton of Coolville, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Jordan and a step-daughter, Sharon Rollins of Leon. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Thorton officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Pine Grove Cemetery, Leon.
