Billy Ray Cadle, 90, of Ravenswood, W.Va., went to be with his Lord and savior on December 17, 2025. He was on born on December 30, 1934 in Ripley, W.Va.; a son to the late Benjamin and Edith Cadle.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Pitchford of Pittsburgh, P.A.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of almost 61 years, Connie Cadle; and sons, Patrick, Neil, and Nathaniel Cadle.
Billy enjoyed partaking in chess, golf, and was known as a man of faith; always serving in his community. He served on the Jackson County Commission on Aging, was involved in Ripley’s Class of ’52 reunions, and was a Deacon at the Faith Bible Church in Ravenswood. In his earlier years he worked as an auditor for 30 years with Gulf Oil before starting his own bookkeeping business. He also taught accounting at the Heritage Christian Academy during the 80’s and 90’s in Ravenswood. From 1957-1959 he also served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany.
There will be a funeral service at Waybright Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 23rd at 1p.m. with visitation will be held from 12p.m. until the time of the service. A private burial will follow. The family would like to invite friends to join them at the Parsons-Vail family center following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family also asks that donations be made directly to the Grace Ministries missionaries in India by sending donations to 4860 W Eddy St. in Chicago, IL 60641.
