Blanche Nicsinger Stephens, 90, went to be with The Lord on March 20, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV. She was born on May 22, 1926 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of John and Sabina Nicsinger. Blanche was a Christian, a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked for several years at Kroger and Thomas and Wolfe Meat Market, Ripley. She and her husband, Orville, were Charter Members of West Ripley Baptist Church, where they served in many capacities over the years. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Orville Stephens; daughter Joyce (Conn) Johnson; son John (Dottie) Stephens; grandchildren Mark and Brian Johnson of Ripley, Heather Stephens Hall of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Peter (Hazel) Apenzeller of Hartsville, Ohio. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lorene Mattingly of Ohio and Grandson, John Eric Stephens. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm, followed by the committal service in Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Pastor Franklin Howerton and Rev. Herman Robinson will lead the service. The family respectfully requests donations in Memory of Blanche be made to the Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311.
