Bobby S. Anderson

Bobby S. Anderson, 81 of Ripley, went home to be with the Lord on January 22, 2018 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital with his family by his side. He was born July 21, 1936 in Ripley, a son of the late Omer and Faith Staats Anderson. He was a ___ graduate of Ripley High School, Class of 1954 and retired as an Electrician from Ravenswood Aluminum, formerly Kaiser Aluminum with 32 years of service then retired again from the Electrical Union (IBEW Local 968) with five years of service. Bob was a faithful and active member of the Ripley Baptist Temple where he was a former Deacon and served as a Sunday School Teacher for the Jr. High Boys for 40 years. He was a member of the choir and served as a Trustee at the time of his death. Bob enjoyed Golfing and Hunting. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patsy Johns Anderson; two sons, Rick Anderson and his wife Tara of Ripley and Randy Anderson and his wife Jackie of Cattletsburg, KY; his grandchildren, Brandi Thompson (Todd) of Culloden, Amanda Salmons (Luke) of Milton, Lori (Landon) Copley of Olive Hill, KY and Bobby Anderson of Cattletsburg, KY; his great grandchildren, Carson, Faith and Mya Thompson of Culloden and Mason and Jake Salmons of Milton; sisters Betty Hutton of Ravenswood, Janice ("Pete") Peterson of Fairplain, Helen "Cookie" Hall of Ripley and Sandra (Lee) Reed of Fairplain. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Donald “Mutt” Anderson and Samuel “Rudy” Anderson Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Ripley Baptist Temple, 320 Charleston Dr., Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Entombment will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville . Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Church and one hour prior to the service at the church.
