Bobby Ray Tackett

Bobby Ray Tackett, 65, of Ripley passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at his home in Ripley. He was born June 22, 1956 in Charleston a son of the late Erman and Ezyleen Holmes Tackett. Bobby could almost always be fond weed eating. When he wasn’t weed eating Bobby enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, going hunting, attending church services at Second Baptist Church, farming, and spending time with his Amish friends and Most of all he enjoyed a cup of coffee on the porch with his loving wife. Bobby is survived by his wife of 35 years Eileen Posten Tackett of Ripley; daughter Jessica Thaxton (Kurt) of Ripley; son Jackson Stanley of Ripley; brothers William Tackett of Patriot, MD and John Tackett of Charleston; sister Sharon Hersman of Charleston; grandchildren Chase Stanley, Lilly Stevens, Carolina Stevens, Paisley Stanley, Deyton Statts, Jaycee Statts, Kolson Thaxton and Emmy Thaxton. In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Tackett and a sister, Betty Jo Wolfe. A funeral service to celebrate Bobby’s life will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 23rd at Second Baptist Church, 305 Elwood St., Ravenswood, WV, with Pastors S.R. Parsons Jr. and Harold Pack officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
