Brady H. Taylor, 95 of Ripley, passed away peacefully at his home on December 6, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born August 14, 1922 at Belgrove, a son of the late James and Mary Skeen Taylor. Brady served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II in the European Theatre. He worked construction along with many other jobs during his career and was a member of the AFL-CIO Local 1085 for 60 years. He was a Farmer and was well known locally for great ability to raise a garden and selling his produce at the Farmers Market. He was a member of the American Legion Post 107. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death in 2002 by his wife, Virginia Crihfield Taylor; sisters Tressie Casto, Thelma Christian, half- sisters Cora Southall, Virgie Raines, Elsie Ingram and Lucy Casto; half-brothers Orva Taylor, Lester “Bus” Taylor and Clyde Taylor . He is survived by nephews Gary (Judy) Casto of Gay, Larry (Pam) Casto of Statts Mill and George Southall of Kentuck; nieces, Evelyn Watson of Kentuck, Phyllis (Ralph) Cobb of Charleston, Charlotte (William) Casto of Bellville, Carolyn Casto of Ripley and Delores (Randy) Cummings of Mt. Alto; a great nephew whom Brady considered like a son, Randy Casto; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews along with other extended family members and friends. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Burial with Military Rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Fairplain Cemetery near Ripley.
