Brenda J. Cox

Brenda Joyce Flesher Cox, 81 of Fairplain, passed away January 26, 2023 at her home following a long illness.

She was born February 11, 1941 in Charleston, daughter of the late Gilbert Wayne and Naomi Ruth Pickens Flesher. She was a homemaker. She loved to paint and crochet but most of all she loved being a stay at home mom.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gary Allen Cox.

She is survived by her three children, Gary W. (Tami) Cox of Given, Ruth “Birdie” Randolph of Cottageville and Glen A. (Jeanette) Cox of Reidsville, NC; sister Lucille (Jim) Carney; grandchildren, Melissa Ryan, Matthew Randolph, Devan Cox, Tiara Cox, Tyler Cox, Emily Cox Haynes, Ethan Cox; also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, February 1 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Aaron officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
