Brenda Joyce Strickland

Brenda Joyce Strickland, 59 of Ripley passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Charleston Memorial Hospital. She was born April 28, 1958 at Ripley, a daughter of the late Ivan and Alice Combs Strickland. She was a Nursing graduate of West Virginia University at Parkersburg. She worked at Jackson General Hospital, Charleston General Hospital and Charleston Memorial Hospital and was the Director of Day Surgery Center in Charleston. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Hayes; step children Michael Boner and Leighann Thompson; sister Janice Goff; brothers Stanley Strickland, Allen Strickland and Randall Strickland; grandchildren, EmilyHayes, Adam Hayes, Luke Hayes, Brett Boner, Nathan Boner, Taylor Boner, Julie Thompson, Blake Thompson and J.D. Thompson and former husbands Paul Boner and Phillip Landfried. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Sharon Curry and brothers Jack and Tony Strickland. Funeral Service will be 8:00 pm Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with John Gunther officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
