Brian David Nuzum, 49 of Ripley, passed away February 1, 2022 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg following a short illness. He was born February 25, 1972 in Parkersburg, son of Karen Smith and the late Paul Nuzum. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, taking trips, talking with his buddies and working on keeping his truck in tip top shape. He helped take care of his mother-in-law and enjoyed listening to her stories of days gone by. He attended Ravenswood High and worked construction inside factories in Texas for several years until his health brought him back to West Virginia. He is survived by his wife Becky; sons Darrick Happ, Ethan Nuzum and Dustin Parsons; daughters Hollie Fowler (Mark) and Briana Bailey; stepson Lucas Bower; stepdaughter Paige Jones; grandchildren Bentley Withrow, Eddie Withrow and Christian Nuzum; brothers Paul Nuzum Jr. and Richie Nuzum; sisters Kim Smith, Sue Ann Merritt, Jessica Hafer, Leah Rhodes and Stephanie Nuzum. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. A time of visitation with the family will be from 5:00 pm until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
