Carl J. Harris

Carl James Harris, 71 of Statts Mill, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at his home following a long illness.

He was born July 14, 1953, son of the late Virgil and Edna Baker Harris. Carl served his country in the United States Navy with four years of service. He retired after 23 years from the WV Department of Highways. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Norma Jean (Rhodes) Harris; son Mark Rhodes and his wife Kim; grandchildren, Cheyene Gibson, Savannah Rhodes, Colton Rhodes, Garrett Rhodes, Chase Rhodes, Sierra Rhodes, Arianna Rhodes, Levi Rhodes and Brody Rhodes; brother, Chuck Harris of Columbus, OH.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Harris and his aunt and uncle who raised him when he went to school in West Union, Lucille and Junior Owens and uncle Cecil McMillan.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday, October 14, 2024 at the Siniaville Church, Statts Mill with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Burial will be in the Siniaville Cemetery, Statts Mill. Friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service on Monday at the Church.
