Carleton Patrick Neal, Jr.

Carleton Patrick Neal, Jr., 39, of Ravenswood passed away Thursday January 5, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston following an extended illness. He was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend. He truly was loved by many. He was born April 11, 1977 at Lewisburg, WV. He was a boilermaker with Union Local 667 as well as an avid hunter, member of the NRA, and a member of the Wirt Masonic Lodge 82. He also attended Epworth United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Becky Cheuvront Neal, who he married on November 21, 1998; sons Cole, Carter, and Corben “Ben” Neal; Parents C. Patrick Sr. and Sharon Cruse Neal of Calvin; Sister Tamara Smithson (Gene) of Buckhannon; Nephews Colbie Smithson and fiancé Kristen Olson and Jacob Smithson; Sister Lyndsay Neal and fiancé Benji Riley of Bridgeport; In-Laws Rick and Brenda Cheuvront of Elizabeth; Brother-In-Law Kenny Cheuvront of Evans; Nephews Zach Cheuvront (Tara); and Oakley Cheuvront; Niece Stone Cheuvront; Sister-In-Law Ericka Cheuvront of Elizabeth; and Grandmother-In-Law Barbara Cheuvront of Elizabeth. A memorial service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held 5 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Ford Price officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment with Masonic Rites will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cottageville.
