Carole M. Welling

Carole Marie Welling, 74 of Given, went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born February 26, 1944 in Wellston, OH, a daughter of the late Robert and Alma Marie Minard. Carole was a Registered Nurse and worked at Jackson General Hospital for 36 years in the O.B Department and retired as a night supervisor. She was a member of the Parchment Valley Baptist Church and loved painting and crafts. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald Welling; her children, Brenda Huffman and her husband Delton of Letart, Troy Welling and his wife Terri of Given and Michael Welling of Given; daughter-in-law, Shelly Welling; grandchildren, Shayla (Matt), Jeremy (Tara), Michelle (Adam), Sarah (Mike), Dillon(Jackie), Luke, Trista, Troy II, Derek and Eric; great grandchildren, Cade, Austin, Raven, Layne, Allyson, Kierstyn, Kameron, Raelyn, Izabela, Zoey, Ryan, Noah, Kendra and Aria. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Robbie Welling and a sister, Barbara Moore. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Parchment Valley Baptist Church, Ripley with Pastors Matt Ash and Herman Robinson officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Given. Friends may call on the family from 2 to 6 pm Sunday at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and on Monday from 10 am until noon at the funeral home.
