Carolyn Sue Carper

Carolyn Sue Mullins Carper, age 65, of Conroe Texas, formerly of Fairplain West Virginia, died Thursday, May 17th after an extended illness surrounded by her loving family. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, sister, granny, aunt, godmother and friend. She brought joy to all of those around her with her nurturing love. Carol was born July 27th, 1952. She graduated from Spencer High School in 1970. On January 22, 1971 Carol Married the love of her life, Michael Ross Carper. Carol and Mike shared many adventures together including camping, fishing, taking road trips and moving to Texas two years ago to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. Carol graduated from Wood County Vocational School of Nursing in 1988 and received her LPN license. She was a member of Parchment Valley Baptist Church. Carol is survived by husband, Michael Carper; children, daughter, Stacey MacIntyre and husband Daniel of Spring, Texas, son, Curtis Carper of Ripley, WV; Grandchildren, Dayne, Reagan and Sloane MacIntyre of Spring, Texas; Brothers Jim Taylor and wife Tobie of Parkersburg WV, Wayne Mullins of Denver, Colorado, Terry Mullins and wife Tyra of Denver Colorado; Sisters Sandy Sloan and husband Dave of Amma WV, Drema Herwig and husband Larry of Chocowinity, NC and Linda Reynolds of Somerset Kentucky. Special Aunt, Opal Strickland of Ravenswood WV; Godchildren, Sydney Berry and husband Shawn of Raeford NC, and Spencer Andrea Schnoor and husband Nathan of Cary, NC; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Carol is preceded in death by sister Brenda Mullins. Carol wished to express gratitude to her sister Drema for her love and care. The family is receiving visitors Friday May 25th from 6-8 PM at Waybright Funeral Home, 511 Church Street South, Ripley, WV. A celebration of life will be held Saturday May 26th at 10:00 AM at Waybright Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Clover cemetery, route, 36 Clover WV.
