Carolyn June Staats-Fields

Carolyn June Staats-Fields, 69, of Aplin Ridge passed peacefully Sunday, June 5, 2022 at CAMC Memorial Hospital. Carolyn was born June 3, 1953 at Gay, WV a daughter of the late Glenn and Irene Fleschman Staats. She was a 1971 graduate of Ripley High School and attended West Virginia State College for several years before taking a job as a Pricing Specialist with Union Carbide. In her spare time Carolyn enjoyed spending time on Facebook and reading, especially her Bible. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 36 years, Delmas Fields; son Marshall Fields (Ashleigh); stepchildren Dwayne Fields (Cathy) and Kim Gobble (Rick); brother Stacey Staats (Gail); sisters Lana Law and Judy Brown; granddaughter Scarlett and Magnolia Fields; step-grandchildren Rick Fields, Lindsey Keeney and Richie Gobble; step-greatgrandchildren Wade Keeney, Evan Keeney, Sadie Fields, Ryder Fields and Rhett Fields. In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sisters Linda Mullins, Sondra Cook and Sharon Adams. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, June 9th at the Parsons Cemetery in Gay with Pastor Lymon Anderson officiating.
