Carroll L Simons

Carroll Loyd Simons, 77 of Spencer, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his home following a long illness. He was born July 19, 1939 at Sandyville, a son of the late Daniel and Belva Richards Simons. He worked on Oil Rigs most of his life and also worked as a Nurses Aide for several years. He enjoyed Farming, Coon Hunting, Fishing and Camping and loved watching and feeding Birds. He was a was a member of the Steel Hollow Community Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patsy Wright Simons; his children, Loretta Chandler of Spencer, Anita Carbaugh of Ravenswood, David Simons of Cottageville, Bill and Kathy Simons of Spencer and Regina and Mark Craddock of Clover; brothers and sisters, Charles and Debbie Simons of Unionville, VA, Ray and Kim Simons of Sandyville, Donald and Barbara Simons of Leroy, Darrell and Diane Simons of Akron, OH, Doris and Donnie Blankenship of Leroy, David and Brenda Simons of Sandyville and Carolyn and Curt Stiwald of Brimfield, OH; also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Casto. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jack Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sandyville.
