Catherine E. (Rhodes) Chandler

Catherine Chandler Catherine E. Chandler, 57, of Ripley, passed away Tuesday morning, October 30, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington following an extended illness. Cathy was born in Boulder Colorado January 11, 1955, daughter of the late Robert and Jacquelyn Casto Rhodes. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother as well as a title researcher and abstractor in the oil and gas industry. Her former husband, best friend and life partner, Robert "Bob" Chandler of Ripley; Daughter, Carey J. Harlan of New Martinsville, WV; Sons, Timothy R. Chandler (Kristen) of Statts Mill and Jesse M. Chandler of Pittsburg, PA; Brothers, Ralph W. "Rocky" Rhodes of Newbern, NC, and Kevin R. Rhodes of Ann Arbor, MI; Granddaughter, Brianna A. Harlan of New Martinsville. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Jamiann Nelson. A celebration of Cathy's life will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Private interment will be at Fairplain Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
