Cathy Murphy

Cathy Ann Golden Murphy, 66 of Ripley passed away September 16, 2016 surrounded by the love of her family at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center following a long illness. She was born November 22, 1949 in Marshall, daughter of the late Ray and Wanda Pickens Golden. She was a Christian by Faith and was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Charmin McCarty; son T.J. Cunningham; granddaughter Kaitlin Johnson; nephews Lee Golden and John Golden; brother Chuck Golden; step-daughter Amanda Sigley and step-grandchildren Quincy and Corey. She is also survived by several cousins and extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Harry Murphy. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Monday, September 19, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Dee Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Roane County. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of service (2:00 pm) Monday at the funeral home.
