Cecil Gay Fields

Cecil Gay Fields, 87 of Ravenswood passed away February 19, 2016 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born April 15, 1928 at Statts Mill, a son of the late Virgil and Jennetta Price Fields. He retired from Hashaw Chemical Company in 1973. He enjoyed Hunting, especially Coon and Fox Hunting, fishing, quilting, canning, working word finding puzzles and playing music. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Donna Jackson Fields; sons Delton Fields of Lorain, OH and Jeff Fields of Ripley; daughter Theresa Fisher of Ravenswood; brother Charles Fields of Gay; 11 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Gary Fields; brothers Roy, Basil, Ray and Sherman A. Fields and sisters Louisa Price, Monnie Mahood and Dorothy Canter and his son-in-law, Kenny Casto. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Barry Epling officiating. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery, Kenna.
