Charles Harlan “Charlie-Pawpaw-Blue Dragon” Boggess of Kenna went home to his Higher Power on March 29, 2018 following a short illness. He attended Grass Lick Baptist Church of Given. Charles served in the United States Army including a tour in Korea and in the Army Reserves. He worked for Carl E. Smith Pipeline off and on for fifty years. He also owned and operated Boggess and Campbell Used Auto Parts of Kenna. He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Ruth Boggess, sister Lura Ann Holzworth, brother Cecil Boggess, and an infant brother. He is survived by his wife Janet Boggess; daughter Pamela (Sidney) Campbell, son Charles “Chuck” (Cheryl) Boggess Jr.; grandchildren Deidra (Curtis) Darst, Preston (Samantha) Campbell, David Boggess, Christopher (Kari) Boggess, two great-grandsons Finley and Colin Darst; sister June Hill and several half sisters and brothers. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with Rev. Tim Showen officiating. Burial will be in the Grasslick Cemetery, Given. Friends may call from noon until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to Hospice Care or to The Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.
