Charles Edward Hampton

Charles Edward Hampton, 74, of Ripley passed away suddenly at his residence on Wednesday, January 27, 2016. He was born December 1, 1941 in Hico, West Virginia, a son of the late Max and Mary Lou Westfall Hampton. Charles served his country in the U.S. Navy. He would later retire from the West Virginia State Department of Technology. In his spare time he was active in the Jackson County Aero Modelers Club, was a HAM radio operator, and volunteered with Trout Unlimited stocking trout. Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Margaret Clark Hampton and his son Anthony Hampton of Ripley. At his request Charles will be cremated with no further services at this time.
