Charles E. Harmon

Charles Edward “Chuck” Harmon of Geneva, AL passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024. He was 75 years old.

Chuck was born in Ravenswood, WV on July 19, 1948, to the late Charles Vicey and Wanda Bennet Harmon. Mr. Harmon proudly served his country in the United States Army serving in the Vietnam War. After his military career he became a truck driver and spent the next 40 years of his life on the open highway. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death one sister, Darlene Burgess.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dora Harmon of Geneva, AL; three children, Marie Yates (Gerald) of the Bethlehem Community, FL, Melanie Jordan of Hartford, AL, and Jeffery Woosley of Middle River, MD; four grandchildren, Jaelyn Johnson, Charles Jaxon Harmon, Lukas Yates, and Noah Woosley; one great grandchild, Caleb James Manis; three siblings, Patty Tucker, James “Jim” Harmon and Cynthia Pride; many nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at the Blaine Memorial Cemetery, Cottageville, WV with military rites provided by the Jackson County Honor Guard.
