Charles E. Hicks

Charles Eugene Hicks, 70, of Kenna passed away Sunday, May 31, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 23, 1956, at Charleston, WV a son of the late John Hicks Jr and Trilba (McCoy) Hicks.

In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Steven and Jerry Wayne Hicks; sister Teresa Burgesss; aunt Wanda Ochs; uncle Charles L. Hicks; niece Amanda Hicks and nephew Andrew Campbell

Charles enjoyed watching the Mountaineers and fishing. Most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by his wife Penny (Cobb) Hicks; sons Chuckie Hicks (Stephanie), Michael Hicks (Jennifer) and Jacob Hicks (Jodi); grandchildren Alexis Collins, Tiambra Collins, Chance Collins, Kylie Collins, Peyton Hicks, Paylon Hicks, Landon Hicks, Jennavecia Hicks, Lydia Hicks and Stephanie Hicks; great-grandchidlren Alee Lloyd, Avah Lloyd and Caidon Myers; sisters Patricia Haynes (Jerry), Dreama Smith, Freda Campbell and brothers Johnny Hicks, Dana Hicks and Carl Hicks (Denise). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews
