Charles A. Marion

Charles Augustus Marion, formerly of Klondyke Road, Ripley, passed away peacefully at Sundale Nursing Home in Morgantown, WV on his 95th birthday, Friday, June 13, 2025.

Charles was born on Friday, June 13, 1930 in Frame, WV, the son of Thomas Walter Marion and Belva Harper. He graduated from Elkview High School in Elkview, WV with the class of 1950, and was an electrical draftsman by trade. Charles considered being a witness and living for His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to be his greatest honor in his life.

He was survived by his wife of 69 years, Nancy Lou Cavender Marion, his son, Karl J. Marion (wife Kathy) of Morgantown, WV, granddaughter Emily Marion Hughes (husband Dom) of Charlotte, NC, grandson Jeffrey Marion (wife Ashley) of Fairfax, VA, granddaughter Aimee Marion of Morgantown, WV, great-granddaughter Ruby Marion of Fairfax, VA, and great-grandson Owen Marion, also of Fairfax, VA.

Charles was preceded in death by his son, James Edward Marion, in 1977.
