Charles Lee Morrison

Charles Lee Morrison, 76 of Kenna, passed away September 5, 2023 at CAMC Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was born September 9, 1946 in Charleston, son of the late Dempsey and Hattie Parsons Morrison. Charles worked as a Welder and Fabricator by trade. He was a faith based man who cared for his family and his greatest joy was spending time with them. He was a member of the Ripley Church of Christ and enjoyed tinkering.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Dawson Morrison; children, Alice Kathleen Morrison, Joey Lee Morrison, Charles Matheny (Jennifer) Morrison, and Brian Keith Morrison; brother, Alan (Amy) Morrison; sister-in-law Beverly Morrison; grandchildren Andrew (Amanda) Carpenter, Ashley Marie (Shawn) Davis, Chaley Marie Morrison along with numerous great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Paul Micah Morrison; brother James E. Morrison and a grandson, Shannon James Carpenter.

His request for cremation is being honored and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, September 10, 2023 at the  Ripley Church of Christ, 112 Jackson Ave., Ripley, WV.
