Charles Wayne Thorn

Charles Wayne Thorn, 71, of Given passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at CAMC Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born July 5, 1946 at Sandyville a son of the late Dan and Grace Vannoy Thorn. Charlie was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed NASCAR, and listening to football and baseball games. He is survived by brothers Larry Thorn of Ravenswood and Danny Thorn of Sandyville; Sisters Lila Wendelken of Belpre, OH and Janet French of Given. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with John Gunther officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
