Charlotte Ann Cavender

Charlotte Ann Cavender 73 of Ripley passed away December 15, 2013 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was born April 8, 1940 at Charleston a daughter of the Chessie Dodd Naylor and the late Leonard Naylor. She was a homemaker and loved to sew and read but her great joy was taking care of her husband and family. In addition to her mother Chessie Naylor, she is survived by her husband of 57 years Donald Cavender; Sons Allen Cavender of Ravenswood and Gary Cavender of Charleston; daughter Deborah Brunty of Rupert; sister Janet Amos of Pinch; grandchildren Misty Fouty of Ripley, Jeffrey Brunty of Fairbanks, Alaska, Melinda Brunty of Beckley, Sarah Brunty, Breanna Brunty, Dakota Brunty, Derek Brunty, Patrick Brunty, Randalyn Brunty, Paige Brunty, Gabrielle Brunty, Gabby Brunty all of Rupert, Daniel Cavender of Fairplain, Lacie Cavender of Sandyville, Derek Cavender of Ravenswood, Matthew Cavender of Sandyville, Michael Cavender of Charleston and Maria Tchernelkina of Washington, DC; great grandchildren Jacob Fouty, Mercedes Casto, Alayah Brunty, Kirra Cavender and Kora Cavender. She was preceded in death by a great grandchild Kaitlyn Brunty. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Gary Ditoto officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
