Cheri Ann Casto

December 3, 1950 — March 30, 2017

Cheri Ann Casto, 66, of Kenna passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 3, 1950 at Belgrove, a daughter of the late James Benjamin and Rosie Rhodes Critchfield. Cheri worked many different jobs over the years including a Sunday School teacher for little children at Vista Church for many years, janitor at the Goodwill Church, Patty’s Country Cookin’ and now Your Family Restaurant, custodian for Jackson County Schools including 15 years at Fairplain Elementary and was part of the “Summer Work Crew.” She was also a homemaker who took care of her husband and family. She made and sold crafts including wooden dolls, quilts and puppet. She also crocheted and whittled. She will be remembered as friend to many. But most important of all she was a Christian. She is survived by sons Christopher Eldon Casto, Jason Mitchell Casto (Jen); Daughter Kitty Dawn-Rosa Drinkwater (Kevin); Sister Annie Saccucci; Brothers Jesse Critchfield (Karen) and Amos Critchfield (Reva); Grandsons Christopher “Bubba” Eldon Casto II, Jason “Bub” Mitchell Casto, Jr., Jeffery Ryan Casto, Wayne Clifford Bryant III(Julia), Dustin Lee Drinkwater, Joshua Jordan Casto, Ethan Alexander Bryant; Granddaughters Shawana Lynn Casto, Lora Casto, Samantha Ann Bryant, Jessica Marie Casto, and Lacey Casto. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eldon Casto; Son Joshua Ronald Casto; Grandson Tyler Mitchell Casto; Brothers James Clifton Critchfield and William “Bill” Critchfield; Sisters May Casto and Rosalee Ray; Brothers-In-Law Okey Ray and Kenneth “Jr.” Casto; Sister-In-Law Ivy “Tootsie” Critchfield Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Plainview Church, Kenna. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery.
