Chester Ray Hascue, 83 of Sandyville passed away April 18, 2014 at Eldercare of Ripley, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 17, 1931 at Clyo, WV a son of the late John and Susie Somerfield Hascue. He was a 1951 graduate of Gilmore High School, an Army veteran of the Korean War and retired from Ravenswood Aluminum Company. He was a member of the Sandyville United Methodist Church where he was a Lay Speaker. He got great joy by studying and teaching the Bible. He enjoyed being around his family and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Fanny Miller Hascue; daughters Pam Waybright and her husband Greg of Parkersburg and Rhonda Prince and her husband Ryan of Sandyville; grandchildren Alicia Waskey and her husband Robert, Rachel Waybright Tignor and her husband Terry, Timothy Waybright, Andrew Prince, Sarah Jane Waybright-McPherson and her husband Cody and Ashley Prince. Also a great grandchild Alexander Waskey. Funeral Service will be 11 am Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Sandyville United Methodist Church, Sandyville with Pastors Jarrod Caltrider and George Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and one hour prior to the service at the church.
