Christopher Curtis Bostic, 62, of Kenna, West Virginia went into the arms of Jesus on July 18, 2024. Our minds can only imagine the peace and comfort that he is receiving in his heavenly home.
Chris was a mason by trade but a farmer at heart. His business, Bostic Masonry, provided beautiful homes and businesses throughout West Virginia and beyond. His work ethic was like no other, and he took great pride in making his farm a beautiful home. His cattle were like members of the family, and his garden was like something out of a magazine. On that farm, he and his wife, Kathleen spent many years together with their beloved dog, Jack. Kathleen loved Chris and stood by him no matter what came their way. They were married for 18 years.
Chris had three children; Stacy (Luke) Easter, Caitlyn (Josh) Meadows, and TC Bostic. His children are the spitting image of him. Seeing them will remind us of Chris’ beautiful brown skin, coal black hair and dark brown eyes. Chris also had a bonus son, Kyle (Rhaynin) Smith that he loved as if he was his own. Chris and Kathleen enjoyed taking their children and grandchildren to the Outer Banks where they made many lasting memories. While they were there, Chris loved taking the whole family out for seafood dinners and fishing trips. Chris was a master fisherman and always smiling when he was on the water.
In addition to his wife and children, Chris is survived by his adoring parents, Bob and Lillie Bostic; his sister Beverly Sheffler; his brother Bobby (Paula) Bostic; his grandchildren Elijah, Lincoln, Abel, and Atticus Meadows, Quincy and Eva Easter, Carson and Avery Smith and Quest Bostic; nieces, Olivia Sheffler and Breanna Bostic; nephews, David Sheffler, and Robbie, Ryne and Browen Bostic. Chris is also survived by many dear friends and neighbors.
Chris had a rough and tough exterior, but inside was a tender-hearted, caring and loving man. Some may even call him a big teddy bear. The family asks that you keep his memory alive by showing small acts of kindness to those around you.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 23 2024 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. A memorial service will start at 8:00 pm.
