Cierra Dawn Young

Cierra Dawn Young, 35, passed away on May 29, 2026 in Ripley, WV.

She was born on January 24, 1991; a daughter of Henry Schreckengost (Jeannie), and Treva Simons.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Charles and Rowena Schreckengost; and maternal grandparents, Junior and Twila Funk.

Cierra is survived by her husband of 17 years, Austin Young; her children, Peyton and Ja’Cory Young; her sister Renee Murray (Doug); her niece Jade Means; her nephew, Xander Means; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cierra was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time at her children’s sporting events and spending time with family. She will be missed dearly.

In honoring Cierra’s wishes, she will be cremated with a celebration of life to held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waybright Funeral Home for final expenses.
